Parodontitis-saliva test?
Yes and no!
The last article was about lasers, now we are talking about the next nonsense: the saliva test.
It happens again and again that patients who suffer from parodontitis undergo a saliva test at the begin of the therapy.
Gratulations! Now you know that you have bacteria in your mouth!
If you had no bacteria you´d have no parodontitis-you see the advantage of this expensive diagnostics.
A saliva test is only useful after an unsuccessful, conseravtive periodontal therapy. Only after you are unsuccessful periodontally treated, a saliva test is useful to find germs.
Serious periodontists refer to these relations.
