Tumour-cancer

Posted by Dental News Team On November - 3 - 2010

A malignant tumour-some call it cancer-is not the end!

Diagnosis: tumour-cancer. Medics call it neoplasia!

Once the diagnosis is made many people don´t know what to do next. Resignation is wrong since more than 60% get cured of a malignant tumour nowadays- Of course depending on the type of neoplasia and the acuteness of the disease at the time of diagnosis.

In contrast far less people survive a heart attack but we are still thinking about the tumour ailment-why?

Probably we are thinking of a prolonged therapy, thus the ailment gets enough time to settle down in the minds of the patient and their relatives.
A heart attack is different: Either the patient dies or survives. Dying is of course awful, but at least in this case it is briefly.

If the diagnosis is made, please don´t resignate! You can play a part in contributing to your recovery! How? Here are some rules:

•The most effective way to eliminate most tumours is the knife, possibly combinated with a radiotherapy/chemotherapy. Please don´t be afraid of the surgery! Please consult different centres.
•Recharge your batteries! Surround yourself with positive energy, nice people, avoid stressful situations, go on nature´s walks.
•Healthy lifestyle: It is never too late! Quit smoking, quit drinking alcohol or taking other drugs. Have a balanced diet and perform sleep hygiene.

Early diagnosis is very important. Follow this link to get more informations about mouth cancer. It´s useless to negate the problem-approach it-it´s your life! All the best!

Are we all sick and is it possible to have healthy teeth?

Posted by Dental News Team On July - 27 - 2010

We are not sick itself, but our lives depart from our evolutionary roots and thus healthy teeth!

In our current systems you are not able to have either healthy teeth or a healthy body!
The mammal human is a caring creature, not only designed for work and effort.
Our social-political networks always work in the same way-a few people are on easy street at the cost of plenty-charity, warmth and sustainability come last.

Few at the cost of plenty?

•    The church tells us: „God wants us to give until it hurts“!

•    The capitalists generate „pseudo needs“ with the aid of elaborate marketing strategies. We run after these needs likea donkey after carrots: a new mobile phone, a new car, a new diet…
•    The socialists/communists tell us that we are equal and should not loose the joy of work-it’s better to work together for less than lonely.
•    The „right“orientated tell us something about the honest workmate, who has deserved his 5 weeks holidays a year in Bibione to show off with 100 Euro.

Do you realize the pattern? No matter which religious orientation, no matter which political view-the “moneyed aristocracy” leads the masses

Moneyed aristocracy governs all of us?
Are we-the mass-a monkey in a cage? History repeats itself and the mass as well as the moneyed aristocracy haven’t learnt anything, (in the cloak of communism, democracy, nationalism, church…)-we are sitting on the same branch, which we steadily saw. Together we are sitting on the wrong side!-

Moaning, being rich or being poor don’t help us!

What can we do to find our centre? Long story short, we focus on the teeth! Basically it doesn’t matter if we are talking about teeth, health, sex, cars, holidays…
Knowledge is power, but therefore we have to exert our brain-don’t be afraid, it doesn’t hurt!

•  Leave the daily routine one day, take time for your needs. No worries, everything keeps running as always…even without you. Some moral is just laziness! In our case, we study the web and get informations about teeth!
• Question the statements from your dentist critically-what does a „bad teeth“ mean?

Consider your own acting-self reflection!
Even if you have enough money to buy a car which wastes 20L/100km more than a car with another Logo- is it useful?
•    Is it really possible that the groceries in our supermarkets are organic every day? Where do tons of organic salmon, organic kiwi… come from/ Wouldn’t it be more useful to buy reginal products from local farmers/ markets?
•    Why are my teeth especially bad on one side? Why do I always get fillings on the same side? I need root treatments, tooth extractions,…Once I have bad teeth, why aren’t all my teeth bad? Why doesn’t my dentist explain that to me? Why am I still going to this dentist and I loose tooth after tooth?
•    Don’t pit your existence against growth – this is unnatural. Only a tumor is growing constantly – but it is killing the host!

If we fail to find our roots again and get rid of the system, in which pharmaceutical companies earn their money with chronically sick people, we cannot be healed! If we manage to return to our roots and negate this system, we stay healthy! Let’s awake from the Matrix and let’s start to re-write our journey. We wish you a summer without tooth pain, but positive thoughts!

Dental Visitations!!!

Posted by Dental News Team On June - 29 - 2010

You would like to start regular dental visitations – how to avoid tooth ache?

Get several opinions!

Today it is impossible to overview the whole spectrum of dentistry individually. Depending on their personal knowledge dentists mostly suggest only one therapy option consciously or unconsciously. You are in better hands with a group practice-but be careful. Is it a community of physicians, who only obey regulations from the boss!? Just ask for the specialized subjects!

The dental visit always begins with the fundamentals!
Severe tooth ache should be eliminated in advance before starting at the fundament! First of all almost every patient gets a cheap treatment-cavity removal, root canal re-treatment, gum prophylaxis. All the necessary information should be collected; health history, previous dental care, recording all the previous dental work, findings from examination, full assessment. Health history is important in providing a good care. Good oral health goes hand by hand with good overall health!

Only then implants, crowns or bridge placements should follow.

Pay attention to the explanations!
In medicine everything is easy to explain, coherences have to be logical-even for non experts. Don´t let yourself be mislead by terms such as homoeopathy or mild medicine. If you don’t understand something, please ask….
_

Inform yourself!
There is a lot of valuable information on the internet-do your own research! Make sure to use reliable websites. –

Price listings on different dental procedures!
Most of the time dental visits are costly; make sure you are presented with a treatment plan after your initial comprehensive exam, including all the cost. If you need extensive care or full mouth rehab you should insist on staging the treatment. It is also important to check with your insurance company for explanation of benefits so you don’t get a surprise hefty bill.

Jaw pain, jaw joint pain, face pain

Posted by Dental News Team On June - 28 - 2010

Jaw pain-jaw joint pain, what is to be done?

It happens unexpectedly while talking, yawning, or chewing-suddenly you recognise a stitch and the mouth opening area starts hurting and is often restricted. What is to be done?

First of all: Keep calm, cause like every other joint, the jaw joint can be strained. It often happens during mountain hikes with ankles. If it happens in the jaw joint, affected people are more worried about!
Moreover it doesn´t have to be the jaw joint, since muscle pain imitates tooth,- and jaw joint pain very well.

You can start with the most important thing, rest and keep calm!

No chewing gums, no chew-intensive dishes, cool it and use pain medication. Moreover you should find a treating person, who is good with face pain. If this person uses the term “craniomandibular dysfunction“ –CMD-forget this person.
The appropriate term is Myoarthropathy-MAP. Through clinical examination the medicating person differentiate between jaw joints and muscle joints and will then start a proper therapy.

What to expect from the therapy? Nothing and everything!

•    Frequently a good clarification and rest are sufficient
•    Optionally physiotherapy
•    Optionally mouth opening practise
•    Optionally a splint therapy-the Michigan splint is well established

Braces, crowns, bridges are not indicated and are useless-except for the dentist!

The jaw joint is able to adapt to changed loads-e.g. after tooth loss, new dentures,… it just takes a short time since the biological process is not that fast as the dentist.-
Please don´t get insecure by imaging diagnostics such as MRT, statements such as  “displacement without reduction”. This has nothing to do with your problems…a lot of people suffer from disk displacement without having problems, some have a “broken joint” as per MRT and have no problems, many have picture-book joints with lot´s of problems!

Today we know that those things are not in relation to eachother and are irrelevant on MAP!
Get well!

Should insurance companies pay more for our health?

Posted by pedro67 On March - 17 - 2010

No, because it’s your money – actually all of ours!

Everyone is responsible for their own health, so there is no point in spreading responsibility around!

Central Europe has very good primary care. If you break your thigh bone, e.g. after a motorcycle accident, then in Austria, Germany and Switzerland you can get help and get an operation within 40 minutes – whether the accident happened in the countryside or the city.

In the South this kind of accident can be very serious or even fatal, as access to medical facilities is not as easy as it is in Central Europe!

Everybody is responsible for their own health – so keep clean, take care of yourself and have regular check-ups at the doctor and then you’ll be fine – or won’t you?!

What do we mean? Well, as most people know there are good and bad apples – even when it comes to doctors. Good hygiene and watching your health is not always enough, you also need a good doctor!

The Web of course makes it easier to look for one, forums, blogs and rating platforms makes it easier than ever to find a good doctor – so use these resources and nothing can come between you and a beautiful smile! Of course you may have to invest a lot in your smile, but that makes it even more important to find out whether your investment is worthwhile!
